Andy Cohen on Kanye West, Brad Pitt, and the further defacement of Regis and Kelly.

This morning I am reeling in the wake of "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" starring Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett and Tilda Swinton. The movie is based on a short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald and it's about big stuff -- time and life and love. And Brad Pitt's beauty. Seriously that is one of the topics covered, and it's a good one.

It was one of those great Cinema Society screenings with people like MK and Ashley Olson and Amy Sacco - you get my drift. Here's how much I loved the (super, super-looooong) film: These three women next to me could not stop yammering and marveling at Mr. Pitt's beauty despite three "shhhhhhhs" from the famous designer in front of us - and it STILL didn't kill my buzz. I kept my boner for the movie, so to speak. That's love.

And despite the yip yap yipping from my left, I cried for about the last twenty minutes solid, which is really all I need from a movie. And I lost my appetite for dinner after because I was so IN IT. Oh life.. Time... Love... Years ago I saw an early screening of "Forrest Gump" and HATED it. Literally I felt SORRY for Tom Hanks because it surely meant the very end of his career. So I was very very wrong about that which is my way of telling you that maybe YOU will hate this one. TV is my thing and I don't profess to know about movies. That being said, "Button" was like "Forrest Gump" only really really really GREAT.

Speaking of great, I stopped by the SNL studio on my way to the john yesterday and watched Kanye West rehearse for his performance this Saturday. WOW. I love me some Kanye. He was my workout playlist this morning. (Okay I threw in a teeeeeeny bit of Estelle too but..)

SUBWAY REPORT: So I've been writing for three days about my (and only my) amusement at the defacement of Regis and Kelly's Bank advert on the 14th Street F platform. The bouffant on Kelly still exists, and I now remember that when I showed the picture to her hubby Mark, he said it was reminiscent of Kristin Wig's hilarious deformed-lady-character in the 'Lawrence Welk' sketch a few weeks ago. (and that's a GREAT reference, Mark.) Anyhow, yesterday some graffiti flair was added and I wondered what would appear alongside Regis.

Well, guess what? Regis has indeed been defaced. Someone drew a talk bubble next to him and wrote, "this dumb blond told me to bank here!" Hey - that's mean! But I was psyched that someone had added a new POV to the artwork. Have a great weekend.
