Lisa Vanderpump Shares the Secrets of Villa Rosa

Whether you’re living in a 500-square-foot apartment or a 10,000-square-foot mansion, something you rely on — nay, something you insist upon! — is having a front door that provides privacy. One that you can hide behind if a certain unwanted neighbor comes a-knocking, one that is opaque enough to screen your visitors from behind — yes to the pizza man, no to the door-to-door charity fundraiser.

Which brings us to Lisa Vanderpump’s entryway inside her Villa Rosa manse in Beverly Hills. Stunning from every single vantage point, the sprawling home even smells exquisite, which is why — until now — we’ve never really questioned LVP’s design choices. But when she recently posted an adorable video of her pups sitting outside her home’s front door, we realized that Lisa’s front door, and entire entryway, is comprised of floor-to-ceiling glass. Like a Rodeo Drive storefront, Lisa's home is 100 percent on display!

Admittedly, the Vanderpump-Todd household isn’t dealing with the daily foot traffic that most are exposed to, thanks to a gigantic gate at the bottom of their driveway. But still! If we were living in Villa Rosa we’d be constantly looking out those doors to see if someone (or something… mountain lions and bobcats are a real thing in L.A.!) was coming up the driveway or tiptoeing across that infamous moat.

So, while that glass entryway makes for a striking, Architectural Digest-worthy design choice… um, we’re going to stick with our heavy, wood front doors that we can continue to hide behind, OK?
