Co-authors Heather Dubrow and Terry Dubrow sat down with The Feast to provide a primer on the plan covered in their hotly anticipated book.

So, what is the Dubrow Diet? Well, it's definitely not Keto. And even if you don't buy the book, Heather shared a freebie with us that anyone can do right now — and it's highly likely to improve the quality of your diet (and your life) from right out the gate. 

Heather explained that her top diet tip is, "You need to be prepared [is] the number one thing — because when you're hungry you make bad decisions."

She continued, "It's like when you go to the grocery store hungry, you're like, 'Oh, fried olives sound like a good idea!'" (And who hasn't been in that scenario, whether it's bingeing fried olives or pita chips or bulk gummy worms right in the store in desperation?)

"So, my big thing is meal prep," Heather told us. "Always have fresh-cut vegetables, fruits, high-fiber, good carbs, and lean proteins available to you." 

And indeed, a little advance prep — no personal trainer, no special proprietary food, or diet plan needed — can be a game-changer when it comes to healthy living.
