St. Barths was beyond amazing! It’s always a treat to be able to leave N.Y.C. in January when it is so cold and ugly, especially when you get to land on this dream island!
I have been happily married for over twenty years, and I must say that even I was looking forward to having a blast with just the girls. Sometimes you need that time with your girlfriends without children and husbands/significant others.
Sonja and I have a special connection. I can’t explain it, but we click like sisters. We have so much fun together, even when we are doing absolutely nothing. When we have been away before, she always ends up coming into my room to do her makeup, choose outfits to wear, and just chit chat and lounge around. I knew Carole wanted the private bungalow away from everyone (as I'm sure Russ was sneaking in at night!). In the main house they had four bedrooms, and since I knew Sonja would always be in my room, I asked if we could have the largest room. Sonja and I would just share it. My room became "the room" of the villa. Everyone was always hanging in it morning, noon, and night.
I was surprised Russ came the very first night we were there. I must say, he held his own with us. He's very confident and charming. I love his smile and the way his eyes twinkle! He and Carole really make a great match. I made sure to be as prim and proper as I could possibly be when I was introduced to him for the first time. We were all jet lagged when we met him. We had been up since 4am and dinner was our first meal since breakfast!
I couldn't believe Sonja was bringing up the photo shoot with Heather. I decided to leave the table as I no longer wanted to be part of it and was hoping to get on a new page with Heather. I was hoping to bridge the gap and settle the rift between us.
Le Ti was so much fun! As you all well know, I love dancing! Heather and I suddenly bonded on the dance floor. Once Heather, Carole, and I got on top of the tables to dance, it was sealed. Heather and I reached an unspoken understanding with each other.
How many times did LuAnn say Tomas looks like Johnny Depp? Was it just me or was she obsessing a bit over the way he looked? I really don't know why LuAnn would lie about having Tomas over to the home. And to say Italian people, not French?!
We were all surprised that Aviva was coming with Reid and that he would be staying in the villa. Aviva had always told us he would have business and stay at another location with a business associate. I was glad Aviva was coming, but I wish I knew under what circumstances before I committed. I really can't take that much time off away from my family, and if this was no longer a girls’ trip, I might have done things differently. Perhaps I would have left the next day after Reid and Aviva’s arrival or perhaps had Mario come? As we all know, I don't like surprises. LOL!
I’m off to Michigan tomorrow for three Ramona Pinot appearances! Check out the details through www.RamonaSinger.com, and while you are there explore my all new site a bit!
Until next time...
