New York real estate can be notoriously small, but Bethenny Frankel won't be using her oven for extra sweater storage anytime soon. The Skinnygirl mogul works her tail off, and has the palatial NYC apartment — and jaw-dropping closet — to show for it.
Bethenny recently let People's cameras inside the gleaming space where she stows her shoes, clothes, and handbags, and it's so much better than any candy store we've ever been in. But despite all the immediate eye candy: "[my closet] so much more than you would actually think because I've gone so vertical," Bethenny said. "I think most people in their homes don't use the vertical space as much, and in New York City you must." Because Bethenny's closet reaches such soaring heights, she had a custom ladder made so she can easily grab all her sartorial goodies.
As for what's hiding in those immaculate drawers, "I have a lot of bikinis," Bethenny confessed. The Mexico-ready swimwear is organized in plastic baggies and by color, and we're more in love with Bethenny than ever knowing that she has a whole section of her closet devoted to "cool-tone swim."
She applies the same color-coded system to her shoes. Bethenny's heels are grouped by hue, and her spot-lit shelves are filled with metallics, grays, nude, rose gold, and "hooker shoes ... just in case you decide to marry a stranger in Vegas," Bethenny joked, showing off a particularly glittery pair.
The mogul also showed off the first expensive thing she ever bought, which was a polka-dotted Marc Jacobs dress from Scoop in Miami. Fun fact: Bethenny wore the sparkling style for the Season 1 Real Housewives of New York City premiere party.
