Bethenny Frankel Is Back in Puerto Rico, Still Devoted to Relief Work and Local Culture

The RHONY rescue worker visited the island to assist with ongoing recovery — and to celebrate local culture.

Bethenny Frankel has been whizzing around the globe lately, and her Instagram Stories have transported us from Auckland, New Zealand to New York to Las Vegas. Now, The Real Housewives of New York City mogul — who's been closely involved with rescue efforts in Puerto Rico after the disastrous hurricane last fall — is back on the island that has won her heart.

Throughout the weekend, Bethenny showed fans how far Puerto Rico has come in its recovery since the crisis struck. Showing off its posh Condado Beach Hotel, full restaurants, and crowded city streets, Bethenny marveled at the city's strength.

And on April 22, she rolled up her sleeves once again — as she promised she would — to help some of the island's most adorable creatures find their footing again.

For much of the day, Bethenny worked with a crew of volunteers to transport puppies to the vet. But, it wasn't just the little doggies who got assistance: The dogs' mother and father also got rescued!

Before lending a helping hand, Bethenny announced that she was "getting a little lunch before the relief work." Her Stories took a delicious turn as they showed off local specialties, including alcappuria (a fritter made with meat and green bananas) and bacalaitos (or fried cod fish fritters.)

The Skinnygirl inventor also took some time to stroll on the local beaches.

Given her deep commitment, and the island's ongoing needs, it's safe to assume this is hardly the last we'll see of Bethenny in Puerto Rico!
