You deserve a vacation. Yes, you. Right now. Digital detox or not (we don't judge). With a passport, or without one. And you don't need your much-needed trip to be all mucked up by missed connections or long layovers. So what you do need is an incredible beach trip you can access with just one nonstop flight from New York City. All that stands between you and these easy breezy beach getaways is a trip to the airport one breezy flight leg. Ready to go? Here are the best beach trips to take with a nonstop flight from NYC:

1. Bermuda

Board a Bermuda-bound flight in the morning and by lunchtime you'll be sipping a Dark n' Stormy by a pink-sand beach. This romantic island has it all for sun seekers, divers and history buffs alike and its compact size and easy accessibility makes it ideal for a weekend escape.

Where to Stay: The Hamilton Princess & Beach Club's glamorous pink-hued exteriors are irresistible. It's the only full-service resort in Hamilton and is right on the harbor.Chill in the multi-level infinity pool or hop on the complimentary jitney to their private South Shore Beach Club on Sinky Bay.

2. Cartagena, Colombia

Five hours from NYC, the queen of Colombia's Caribbean coast, Cartagena lures visitors with its mix of history — the heartbreakingly beautiful Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site — and heady sensuality (it's the world capital of salsa, after all). Sunshine is practically guaranteed here. Soak it up on the long sandy, palm-fringed beach of Bocagrande, or hop aboard a boat for a day tour to the nearby Rosario Islands.

Where to Stay: Owned by renowned local fashion designer, Silvia Tcherassi, the recently opened Tcherassi Hotel + Spa is the city's new must-stay spot. A contemporary, minimalist oasis in the heart of the city, the hotel occupies a restored colonial building with such elegant, Tcherassi-style features as vertical gardens and water mirrors — and a very inviting rooftop pool.

3. Nassau, Bahamas

Just a three-hour flight from NYC, the Bahamaian island of New Providence, beckons with its white sand beaches, crystal clear waters and historic center and nightlife of the capital, Nassau.

Where to Stay: The long-awaited Baha Mar resort opened its first hotel, the Grand Hyatt, last spring, followed by SLS Baha Mar and Rosewood. Set on Cable Beach, the sprawling resort has more than 20 restaurants, including Katsuya, which is helmed by Master Sushi Chef Katsuya Uechi and located in a Philippe Starck-designed space, and Shuang Ba, an upscale Chinese restaurant. You'll also find an ESPA spa and the biggest casino in the Caribbean.

4. Riviera Maya, Mexico

You'll arrive at Cancún Airport, a four-hour flight from NYC, but you'll want to head straight out of town and skip the tequila-soaked party center for something a little more relaxing. Fortunately, there's much more to the Riviera Maya than dodgy nightclubs: white-sand beaches, ancient Mayan ruins, and hidden cenotes, to name just a few.

Where to Stay: Around 40 minutes south of the airport, between Cancún and Tulum, the Mayakoba resort is a relaxing antidote from the raucousness of both. It's home to four resorts, Rosewood, Fairmont, Banyan Tree, and Andaz, all of which combine luxurious accommodations with natural beauty that includes tropical jungle and freshwater lagoons, filled with native flora and fauna, as well as a mile-long stretch of beach. Perfect morning? Take a free bird-watching boat trip around the lagoons then indulge in a "Chocolate, Food of the Gods" massage at the Fairmont's Willow Stream Spa.

5. Palm Beach, Florida

No passport? Less than three hours (and usually less than $200 roundtrip) can get you to the Sunshine State's swankiest city, Palm Beach. As well as beaches, Palm Beach is known for its billionaires and bling, which you can get a sense of while checking out the OTT Worth Avenue shopping and dining district

Where to Stay: Fifteen minutes from the airport, you'll want to settle in for a while at the glam Breakers. There's shopping, golf and tennis onsite, as well as an indoor/outdoor spa and an oceanfront private beach club with four pools. Rates are lower in the summer, so we recommend upgrading to a suite in the Flagler Cluba private-access, ultra-luxury boutique hotel situated atop the resort.
