5 of the Best, Worst, and Weirdest Celeb Travel Rants on Social Media

Celebs like Bethenny Frankel, Ann Coulter, and Jaden Smith love to share (and overshare) their grievances.

Celebrities of a certain stripe sure do love to speak their minds. And how better to ensure the maximum number of people hear their complaints than by airing them on social media? Behold the following memorable instances of celebrities venting their travel frustrations to their audiences of millions. Some are totally reasonable... others not so much.

1. Lisa Rinna vs. United

We should all know better than to provoke a protective mama, especially if that mama is high profile like the The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Lisa Rinna. Last November, Lisa took to Twitter to accuse United of being "rude" to her child. "I am not happy about it," she wrote.

United was quick to respond and we hope they sorted it all out behind the scenes.

So what triggered Rinna's rant? That remains a mystery, and she elaborated only to say: "I can handle it, but don't f*** with my kids or my family!"

2. Jaden Smith vs. Four Seasons Toronto

"The Four Seasons In Toronto Just Made Me Want to Throw Up On MySelf," announced Jaden Smith to his bemused followers back in May. The young actor/rapper, who was staying at the Four Seasons Toronto while filming a movie, went on to elaborate, claiming that the luxe hotel had "spiked" his pancakes with cheese.

The final tweet in this short saga revealed that he had been "kicked out" of his room, so there is likely more to this story than we'll ever know. Nevertheless, to its credit, the Four Seasons Toronto had some fun with the fracas, cheekily bigging up their pancakes in a tweet, complete with cheese emoji.

3. Ann Coulter vs. Delta

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter was most displeased when she didn't get the aisle seat for which she'd paid Delta $30. Apparently keeping her fury to herself while on the flight, she waited until landing before unleashing venom upon Delta, its employees, and even the woman who was in her original seat, of whom she posted a photo describing a "Dachshund-legged woman." Delta was having none of it, responding with two tweets, saying, "We're sorry you did not receive the preferred seat you paid for and will refund your $30," and, "Additionally, your insults about our other customers and employees are unacceptable and unnecessary." Coulter then implied the airline was "fascist."

4. Bethenny Frankel vs. Starwood

For a lesson in how to air your grievances calmly and effectively, we turn to The Real Housewives of New York City's Bethenny Frankel. While having a lovely time on vacation in Greece, she posted her frustration over a double-booked room at her Starwood-branded hotel Santa Marina Mykonos, but calmly: "I'm sure they'll work it out. Time to relax." Sure enough, the hiccup was quickly smoothed over and she posted the following with gratitude.

And *that's* how you do it right.

5. Karlie Kloss vs. Philippine Airlines

Publicly dragging a business for unspecified misdememours is de rigour in celeb-land. Witness Karlie Kloss' raging against Philippines Airlines via a snap and (later deleted) tweet for apparently poor customer service. After the model had blasted the airline to her millions of followers — "No one [travels on Philippines] Airlines ... and now I know why," she wrote in angry red block letters over a Snapchat selfie — it emerged that what had got her fuming was that she had missed her plane by showing up almost half an hour after the check-in desk closed. Nevertheless, Philippine news outlet ABS-CBN reported that the airline comped Karlie for the ticket she wasn't able to use, plus her rebooking fees. Hmmm... wonder if they would be so keen to compensate an ordinary traveler who misses a flight through their own tardiness.
